For $300 that is an oké deal. Just be aware of dead pixels. Ask him how many there are and where they are.

My other options is 3 20 inch 1600x900 monitors +1 17 inch for 150 or 4 17 inch1024 monitors for 75$.

300$ one has the 1 17 inch to because I already have it.

Then for sure the $300 route. Just be aware that triple 1080p isn't easy to push and you need a good GPU.

What is your current GPU?

I would still go for the triple 1080 and then later upgrade the GPU. Meanwhile just play on a single 1080p.

Exactly. So it's in my opinion better to spend a little bit more now and then save enough money to upgrade the GPU.

You can look on ebay or elsewhere to get a 280X or 290. They go for around $200/250 now.

@spwath, personally I wouldn't get it as they are TN monitors. You would want them to at least be IPS monitors. Considering that you can get a decent IPS monitor for around $130, I would skip that deal. But that's just my opinion.

I'm thinking about the 3 20 inch 1600x900 monitors for 150. What do you think of that

NOOOOOOO! Don't do it. Look, I know that you want to get 3 monitors for pretty cheap but, personally, I would save up a bit more and get 3 1080p IPS monitors. Even 3 of these would work » http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009483 « or these (if you prefer 21.5" monitors) » http://www.newegg.com/global/au/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009483 «.

I just would hate to see you get a dud deal with TN monitors when IPS monitors are just as cheap and have better picture quality.
