Hello, I recently bought 3 case fans for my rig, one coolermaster sickleflow 120mm and two bitfenix spectre all black 120mm fans, I am really dissapointed at how loud this thing is after adding these fans and for some reason I cannot use speed fan to slow them down when im not doing as heavy tasks or things of that nature so I decided to buy a NZXT Sentry 2 fan controller to have controll of my fans, My question is will these fans be compatible with this controller and will I be able to slow them down and what not? Thanks everybody -Lucas

Are they 3-pin fans plugged into 4-pin connectors? Also, nice Boogie thumb :) Cool guy

I really wish that we'd just make organic hardware already, that grows and adapts to the demands it needs to meet. That way, grannies' computers can be floppy sacks of organicness and the 12 year old Minecrafters will look like the guys that only do bicep curls, and the nerdy programmers will finally have justice, with their body-builder rigs that skipped leg day.

if they are 4 pin, did you try just setting your fan settings in bios to silent? tends to work nice.

otherwise, as far as i know the sentry only takes 3 pin fans without modification in the form of a knife. i dont know what your fans have tho.

They are 3 pin connectors and they are plugged in to 3 pin sockets on the motherboard, ive heard some things about the sickleflows only being able to run off the motherboard at full speed so I was just wondering if I could use the controller, everything would work alot smoother :)

yea, 3 pin fans only run at 100% without voltage control, but the sentry will do that voltage control for you so should work, tho look up and see if the fans are 100% compatible because some will start making another noise when down volted

Yeah I heard something about the sickleflows again like that under 7v then whine or something, do you think it will be that bad?

It shouldn't be matter of fan comtroller since they all work with same principle. Its more about how fan works when undervolted.
