All of the Sapphire 280x's performed very good in my reviews, even the Dual-x did very good, so if you cant afford a vapor-x or toxic then go with the dual-x.

Do not buy the Asus, its cooling is terrible and the gigabyte 280x did decent with its windforce cooler but I would still recommend something from Sapphires range over the windforce.

So the Dual-X is a-ok then? There are no reviews, and I only saw one build that made any comment about the acoustics, which were pretty favorable to him.

I would've gone with the Windforce, but 100% of the builds I see are helpless against the inevitable sag because of Gigabyte's shitty brace, but Asus did seem to get it right with cooling according to TPU. Nevertheless the Newegg reviews are atrocious for the DCII version.

sapphire vapor-x or tri-x

Like I said, I can't afford second-generation Vapor-X and Tri-X. First-gen Vapor-X also makes earsplitting noises at max load.

XFX is good too

Not sure I like their very restrictive cooler that reports wildly different temps based on the reviewer, but XFX and sapphire are the only two graphics card board partner companies whose warranties I would trust.

The Dual-X is cheaper, I just need confirmation that it would do well in the temps and noise departments

Just look at my channel bro, i did a comparison of the dual-x vs the toxic 280x, temps and noise were included too.

I use a Dual x HD 7970 pretty much same thing no worries here. Good temps ect no problems at all even when overclocking also easy to clean and remove. One roomate has HD 7970 Vapor X his performance is like a tiny fraction better then mine but only noticable to the geek eye.

CPU- I7 7700K @ 4.4Ghz, RAM- 32 Gig Hyper X @ 2800 mhz , GPU - GTX 1080ti Strix 11gb , MOBO- Asrock Fatality Z270 , SSD :Kingston Hyper X SSD Fury and Samsung 500gig

Thank you for the much-needed comparison! I've decided that the Dual-X is probably the best for me, as both Tri-Xes are too expensive, Asus has too much artifacting, MSI is too hot, and Vapor-X Gen 1 is loud as f***.

Plus it's on sale too!
