Hey everyone I looked at Amd overdrive on board status and well my tmpin reads -268.5 degrees what is this and why is it reading this, I have a Asus sabertooth 990fx with a Amd fx 8350.

we call those bugs (or malfunctioned sensor)

 

 

they are annoying and difficult to remove

Is there smoke coming from your PC is it running fine? it's most likely just a bug cause at 260c your computer would be inflames

Its because thoose are extra 3 pins on the motherboard that you have not plugged into anything. So the sensor freaks out and reports a random number. My board also shows this but -128C and its been running fine and been OC'D for about a year

Sweet okay also can I use Amd auto clock to find out the voltage and multiplier etc to do it in the bios

Yea that is just a bug you're 8350 is fine

That is an Asus issue. Almost all of their AMD boards give a weird 128C temp constantly.
