GIMP will not pick up wacom tablet..

Out simply, I go to Preferences < Input devices < Configure extended Input Devices, and all it will EVER pick up is Core Pointer. I looked it up and these issues are for people WAY back on MUCH older GIMPS, and everyone should know that gimp changes itself drastically every once in a while.

 

What can be done?

 

 

Tablet: Wacom Intuos n2octh480

OS: Windows 7 64 Bit

Sorry can't help you here mate... I use my wacom with Photoshop and SAI. I've only ever used gimp once.
