NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 2GB vs NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 4GB?

Go to solution Solved by Skanic,

Hey TechTips Community,

I'm planning to build a new gaming rig with the Core i7-4790K "Devil's Canyon" CPU and am looking at graphics cards. This is really just a quick question.

Is it worth it (price to performance) to get the 760 4GB over the 2GB? I've read some benchmarks saying that theres no performance increase at all!

That said, I can afford a GTX 770 2GB. I mean I'm not gaming at crazy resolution so I shouldn't need the extra V-ram, right?

Anyway, thanks for the info in advance. I'm looking forward to hearing what you guys recommend.

760 4GB wont utlized the 4GB as the bus is to small.

If you can get the 770 go for it.

770 if it has a similar price to the 4GB 760. Otherwise, get the 2GB 760.

Just another quick question. Is the 770 going to get any use out of 4GB?

All of it? Nope, maybe around 3GB for unoptimized game like Watch Dogs or Skyrim with uber high res textures + 1 bajillions mods.
