Why are you getting a 4930k?

If you are gaming, this is a waste.

PS the intel 730 240GB drive has really low write speeds. Go with the 480GB or a samsung 840 evo

Then you should probably go with 1150 not 2011

A 4790k will be great for heavy rendering and minecraft. Your GPU will handle all the recording, not the CPU.

It is not worth it to spend twice as much money for 2 extra cores that will not be used much...

Java is not optimised to use all those cores, and rendering with two extra cores will only make it take a couple minutes less, not worth $600

The only reasons to go for 2011 are:

1) Need 64 GB of ram

2) Need 12 threads for running virtual machines/doing intensive computing

3) Have money coming out of your nose to buy the rampage black edition just for looks

4) Need many PCI-lanes for quad sli/crossfire with some add on cards too

Ok cool, hopefully haswell-e will be on 2011 so you have the option of upgrading to 8 cores in the future...

how long do u thing the x79 deluxe will support the latest graphics cards

I dont see PCI-E changing at all in the near future unless 4.0 is release, which would probably just be a speed increase and be backwards compatible with 3.0 and 2.0

So to answer your question, a long time.
