SSD Recommendation? Anyone?

Can you please recommend an SSD?

 

I would be using it to install my windows and mostly accessed files so it doesnt really need to have a large capacity. 

 

Im also in a really tight budget so any SSD with decent price:performance would be great.

A 120GB EVO would be great if it's not too expensive, a Crucial M500 would also get the job done.

really for general use the cheapest you can find should be great, what the more expensive ones does it more safety and higher write speeds, but its the read speeds normal people should care about

 

If you are lucky you might find Intels SSD's on sale, i picked up 2 when i did

Kingston's V300 series is good if you're on a budget. 

 

For a very good SSD that isn't too expensive, the Samsung EVO series is a good way to go.

almost all ssds are good, the 840 evo is fast and reliable, but is a little more pricey, but a a crutial m500 is good to, especially at its price

I recommend the crucial m500 or samsung evo depends how much you want to spend.

Can't really recommend the Kingston v300.  Hear negative reports on the forum of terrible speeds and bad flash.

The Corsair Neutron GTX is an excellent drive if you'll be doing a lot of writing.

If you're in NA go with the Crucial MX100. Cheapest SSD out there right now with a 240gb going for $110.00.

I cant really put a budget right now, spending much on this may compromise other parts im planning to build, anyhoo is evo really that good? Is there an evo that is cheaper than the 120gb?

even a SSD at 400mb per second will be what 10 times faster than your HDD  for security Intel is one of the best right now but costs a fortune, samsungs EVO is a good balance of performance and quality, but the actual difference in performance between Samsung and a Adata SSD is very small and you wont really notice it

Crucial mx100 or m550. The mx100 uses the latest 16nm NAND and is a direct replacement for the m500, with better performance and is incredibly cheap. You can pick up a 120gb drive for £50, and the 512gb drive is only £100 more expensive, with a 240gb drive about £70/80 depending on how trading is going
