Know anything about bikes?

So I saw two people today on the same type of bike today and I'm wondering if anybody can help me identify what bike it is. 

It has this whole retro urban road bike swag going on. I searched a bit myself and found these:

Know any other brands or bikes like this? I still haven't found the one I saw.

 

Specifics:

Flat horizontal bars (no ram horn shaped or vertical ones)

Pretty sure it's a single speed

Frame like the ones in the links

Preferably lightweight (aluminum or titanium)

Chrome/silver

That urban minimalist look

Skinny road race tires

 

Saw it in the Netherlands if that helps.

fixie bikes, thats what theyre called, 

 

its a pretty huge trend in denmark and the netherlands. 

 

bigger bike shops usualy have a dedicated part in the store for them.

at least get a hard tail (front suspension but no back suspension)

You can get the pieces and get a shop to build it for a lot less than these companies are looking for.

I've considered making hipster bikes for some time now.

I have a suspension lock on my bike, i only use my suspension (hard tail) for when im going off road which is 10%  off the time

What exact brand? Thats kinda hard, there are so many that make that "style". Its basically just a roadbike with a single gear speed.

I have a suspension lock on my bike, i only use my suspension (hard tail) for when im going off road which is 10%  off the time

wish i could do that, i have like a hardcore downhill bike, so when i bike up hill im bouncing on that thing more then a trampoline .

Thanks! I'm having better luck using fixie in my searches. I'll definitely look into it.

I'll only ever use it on road but I see your point. Hmm I'll have to do some more research to figure out if it's worth getting one.

You can get fixies on ebay for pretty cheap. But if you want the best fixies you have to go to custom bike builders, who will fit it to you and your specification.

Proper Reynolds steel frames are in my opinion the best ones for that retro look and they weigh very little. Don't touch aluminium unless it is very high grade, as it is cheap, harsh and very uncomfortable compared to carbon, steel and titanium. 700c x 23/25 is the wheel and tyre size you want.

eBay, from stores based in China.

Most bike parts are manufactured overseas anyway, so that's where they'd be coming from.

 

You can also try Chain Reaction Cycles, however those prices will likely be higher unless it's a good sale.
