Which drive formats do you guys use?

 

 

1. Master Boot Record or GUID-Partition Table

 

2. NTFS or FAT32 or something else

 

I have an SSD with GPT in NTFS and an HDD with MBR in NTFS

MBR or GPT? GPT is recommended cause it makes it nearly impossible to loose data

MBR (my laptops will not support GPT. Desktop is not being used currently).

EXT4 on both laptops (and FAT32/FAT16 on a Dell Latitude, NTFS on desktop).

Recently went back to NTFS and windows MBR but as soon as I can upgrade my system for better parts I'll go back to grub ext4 and a second windows/ntfs partition.

On my main machine (i.e. the one in my sig.):

GPT and one HFS+ (OS X) and one NTFS (Windows) partition

 

On my other macbook running OS X and Ubuntu:

Hybrid GPT-Master Boot Record...

 

the last one works amazingly well considering how much of a ghetto solution it is. But I can only have one hard drive in it so that was the only solution...
