Cheap 4k monitors

I don't understand why such a fuss is being made over these $600 - $700 4k monitors that aren't ips when the Dell UP2414Q is only $800.

Because it wasn't always $800.  In fact it was $900 when I checked last time which was only a week ago.  It was $1200 a few weeks before that.

And it's only 24inches so it's not actually easy to use at native resolution. And scaling sucks so.

Cause its only 24". I'd want a 30-32" 4k. and these arent cheap no matter which panel/refreshrate.

I bougth mine (now dead) for 1199€ then it had 30 dead pixels pop up last week. The shop didn't a replacement in stock so they gave me back my full 1199€. Now it's 720 €

i dont even understand the big deal with 4k monitors/4k gaming. whats the point of buying one when not one single card is able to get 60fps on max settings ( they dont even come close) and to be honest 60fps isnt even that good anyways.

It's 24 inches, which kind of sucks for 4k, and not everyone is willing to pay the extra 100$ on a smaller monitor just to get 70m colours more and a wider vieweing angle.

It made perfect sense in the context it was used. Not many cards can run 60fps max settings on 1440p. Same is true for 4k.

I know that, but more cards are able to handle 1440 than 4k, that's what I meant
