Would you be interested in an iSwitch from Windows 7 to Ubuntu (14.04)?

harrynowl

So I'd like to try out Linux properly for the first time in a few years. I used ARCH on my old craptop (Celeron 1.5Ghz + 512MB RAM) for a short while with LXDE. I also use it on my Pi so I have basic Linux knowledge :)

Unfortunately I can't really think of what to test so input would be good.

Here's what I have as ideas:

  • Gaming
  • General use
  • Browsing performance
  • Printing
  • Usability
  • Interface comparisons
  • Conclusion

Do elementary os luna instead and YES!

I had a look and it doesn't really seem my kind of OS, rather not review something I don't want to use :P

I might run it in a VM for a bit though and re-consider.

Yes. I tried Linux and had a terrible experience and I want to  see if that's just me.

Why not :) It's a fun experience and interesting to write about in my opinion. I have done one a while back with Elementary OS (check my signature) and I have mostly made it as a guide on what things you should install and why and overall experience with it.

Do elementary os luna instead and YES!

If you want to see that then check my signature
