What is the lowest low profile memory you know. Preferably 1x8GB sticks.

My System Specs: (Short list) i7 4770k, GTX 780, many SSD's, a 2 TB HDD(deceased :( ), Corsair 650D. Full list: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/kchriz6097/saved/8dh7YJ

Upgrade Plan: Acquire some Black Noctuas then add 16 or 32GB of 2133MHz memory

Vengeance LP and remove the heat spreader. Why do you need it so LP anyways? There is no cooler that does that low.

The shortest ones I know of are Samsung Green DDR3, I'm running 4 sticks of it right now.  It's shorter than the actual DIMM slot clips on my motherboard, that's about as low profile as you can get, and they overclock really well too.  Unfortunately they were discontinued so you'll find them at a high price compared to other kits.

I'm sorry but these comments are absolutely absurd.

First of all, the vengeance LP is by far not the lowest profile. In fact, its one of the tallest LP RAM you can get and is actually standard size (32mm).

Secondly, no, LP is not the same as standard. Standard is standard, and low profile means low profile.

Now to actually answer the OP's question, the lowest LP RAM you can get is the Crucial Ballistix Sport VLP since its just 18mm tall. I believe it is so low profile that the top of the RAM actually sits lower than the RAM clips (!!).

People really need to actually answer the question properly without just recommending Corsair stuff all the time. It's spreading false information.

Yeah, these do look kind of shorter than regular RAM sticks.

Having images might help people see the difference. Just sayin'.  ;)

I just searched for images of them, the credit should go towards @Glenwing and @Notorious544d.
