I disagree. I'd say a new phone. My GNex is laggy as hell. When I bought a Nexus 5, I'm glad I got rid of that phone...albeit it was my favourite phone at the time. But going back from my Nexus 5 to the GNex for a few days was hell. Like @TheDigitalRealm said, your GPU is sufficient (unless you're expecting your rig to play current games at ultra). I would go for the phone just because while gaming is pretty important to all of us, a non-laggy phone would make your day to day life so much less annoying when you don't have to wait for your contacts oad, or your dialer in your phone app to pop up.

totally agree with this. i had a gnex and loved it until i recently upgraded to the nexus 5! plusthe battery life blows on gnex

Actually what made it even better the reps at my Tmobile store didn't even know the galaxy nexus existed so I would Def go with the phone before gpu because I'm pretty sure any sort of tech savvy guy/gal out there knows what a 770 is

Why not wait for next generation nvidia or amd gpu's? You already have a solid card, so it seems more resonable to get a phone.

Your current GPU is good enough for 1080p gaming so I would go for a new phone. As for which phone, it depends on what your looking for.
