Well considering you put up words that look like an inexperienced 12 year old, how else are we to judge? i was simply giving you what i have done, arrogance? try helping... sometimes though help is not enough for some people.

I have done bar work for about a year now and it sucked. I was unemployed for about 6-8 weeks before I started getting offers for jobs, it's hard to get a job, especially where I work, but I managed to find a job that I love, it's for bugger all money, but I would rather do what I'm doing now than packing meat into boxes which is what I was offered for double the money. I feel that I've been pretty lucky but that didn't come easily it took me 6 months to find my first job and they only took me on because they were under staffed, apply for every single job you can, no matter what it is, get your foot in the door and you will find yourself another job as it's much easier to find another job if you're currently employed. Chin up, something will give eventually.

I got recently let go as a Jr Dev because they decided they needed someone more senior than me.. Annoying part is I didn't get that extra pay you get for getting let go for something that's not your fault because my probation was meant to be three months but it was extended to 6 (the old lead developer left so the new one wanted to know me better). I worked their for six and a half months just to get told they needed someone more senior. I had no experience when I got that job too and the original lead dev wanted a Jr not someone senior. I'm having to use the funds I put a side for my watercooling loop + the holiday pay (13 days as I took no holidays) to get by till I get another job ><. Hopefully this time round it wont take me five months to find another one as then I'll be a poorpoor man! On the plus side I'm getting a good reference .

Hmm, that's unfortunate.

 

In the states we have a work study program, and if you meet the financial need or not enough people applied you can either work for the university or the school will basically pimp you out like a hiring firm with pretty flexible hours built around your schedule, sometimes with something relevant to your major. 

 

I received an offer but I turned it down since my scholarships/grants already covered my entire tuition, so I wouldn't know much more.

You know... I just looked for low requirement jobs when I turned 18. Became a valet part-time. Became a valet manager at Perry's Steakhouse by 20. You just need to find someone that knows an in to a job. It's all about connections. That being said, I'm an engineer now and can hardly appreciate that situation. I recommend you just ask friends?

I hate you... Valedictorian and I still couldn't get a full ride at SMU or Stanford. Only to lame public schools like A&M. >.>
