About 9 months ago, i got a 5.1 suroound sound from a pawn shop which was an RCA speaker setup but with a Jenson Subwoofer and a second stock RCA sub. altogether, 2 subs. each of them are placed on each side of my setup on the carpet floor. however, when i played movies, i get a loud rumble sound that sounds like an internal problem. i listen to music every so often, maybe twice a month on max bass but am force to turn it down,i do not get the effect while listening to music, due to this rumbling sound. i also have it connected via Optical audio to my PS4.please, if someone could leave some thoughts or sugestions, i looked all over the placed but found info that had already done.

Could you please fix your text? There's no need to draw attention to it, since people are already on this topic and it just makes it annoying to read. Thanks!

whats wrong with my text, just asking?

Well, nothing anymore. ;)

When I visited this page a moment ago, you text was white with a black background on this mainly white page, so it looked horrible.

Probably just a server error.

disconnect one of the subs completely and see if that helps.

Our Grace. The Feathered One. He shows us the way. His bob is majestic and shows us the path. Follow unto his guidance and His example. He knows the one true path. Our Saviour. Our Grace. Our Father Birb has taught us with His humble heart and gentle wing the way of the bob. Let us show Him our reverence and follow in His example. The True Path of the Feathered One. ~ Dimboble-dubabob III

I can think of 3 possibilities:

1. Simply too much bass than what the subs can handle. Try tweaking the audio settings, and look for bass control or something like that.

2. There's something loose inside, maybe loose screws or internal parts, or even the boxing itself. Subs do vibrate a lot, so everything must be tight in their places.

3. As they're old stuffs, the rubber sealant ring on the speaker's cone might be teared off. If this is the problem, just replace it. Replacement looks something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Speaker-Foam-Repair-FSK-10JL/dp/B009DNL0L8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1402425784&sr=8-1&keywords=speaker+foam+ring

The price on the link is actually a bit pricey though. Maybe you can try finding them at radioshack or something. In my country, they go as low as below $10 for a pair of 15" rings. Glue them using wood glue (the white paste ones) or liquid paper glue
