Choosing the right PSU

Go to solution Solved by Hyp0xia,

750 watts is overkill and I'd avoid Aerocool. Even if you have to lower the specs on another component in your system to make room in your budget for a better power supply unit, do it. The power supply unit is the single most important component in your PC and it should be quality over quantity. 600 watts would serve you just fine, so I wouldn't bother with any units above 660 watts. I always recommend getting a unit with Seasonic, Super Flower, or Delta as the OEM.

This will be my future gaming build

MotherBoard:aSrock 970 extreme4
CPU:Fx-8350
CPUFan:Zalman Performa
GPU:Sapphire Vapor-x r9 280x 3gb
RAM:8gb KINGSTON HYPERX PERY SERIES (2x4)
PSU:750w Aerocool 80+ Bronze http://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B00767S72I/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A11IL2PNWYJU7H it isn't 80 plus bronze or any kind of certification
Storage:1Tb WD
Case:Aerocool x-Warrior

i'm not so concerned about the power supply i need some help choosing the right one how many watts will my computer consume while gaming considering it on full load.

Thanks for the tip but i think that the 600w cx from Corsair should be enough just like you said and btw i'm not planning on overclocking the cpu in any possible way maybe in the future but for now overclocking the GPU is my primary objective thank you all for your quick responses i didn't expect the Linus community to be so responsive thank you all again.

I would go for the XFX as I mentioned, because its OES is Seasonic, and it is better than the CX series from Corsair ;), but your the one choosing :)

OEM*

Core Series is Seasonic, based on their S12II platform, and yes it is better than the CX Builder series. It is discontinued however.
