Do you really need a BD drive?

this system will be doing 4 main jobs

1. Rendering videos for my schoolwork and AV club projects and videos for my church events

2. Gaming

3. Watching videos and dvd/bluray

4. Burning discs for my classmate and my church members

People talk crap about the R9 290/x power consumption all the time. The truth is that its TDP is only 25W higher than the 780 and its really not that big of a deal. 600W will be fine.

ok but better safe then sorry lol i think i'll get a 650w or 700w

I'm running my R9 290 on a 650W corsair PSU, I've overclocked the living crap out of both CPU and GPU and my PSU hasn't broken a sweat so far. It doesn't even get warm. Don't bother with 700W, unless you want to crossfire. In that case get 750W minimum.
