What GPU should I get?

So I sent my 780 for warranty and I might not get it back. I don't want to void any more warrantiesw to be honest. Should I save up and get a Asus 780 Poseidon or should I buy a 290 and a waterblock for it and save about $150?

Something tell's me a 512 bit bus with 4GB Vram and a WB would kill a 780 in the long run (GTX 480 vs 5870 experience)

Pretty sure a 780 poseidon would beat a 290.

290x, maybe not, but a 290, definitely.

Remember that 780 is watercooled.

Yes, a GTX 480 vs the 5870 at launch only was pretty equal, after that it completely decimated it, due to the larger bus width and stronger DX11 performance it pummelled even 6970's at max vs max OC.

 

 

I may well be wrong about 780 vs 290, but i am just going off experience of older arch's with similar variables.
