The cable is plugged into my RS-OUT connector on my PC,

Have you tried using the Line out jack (the red one)?

RS-Out is intended for rear surround speakers, as far as I know.

I tried connecting my PC to my amplifier using a 3.5mm jack to RCA cable, but have not had any success after trying everything I could think of.

My motherboard: MSI Tomahawk B560
My amplifier: NAD 3225PE
My OS: Win 10

The cable is plugged into my RS-OUT connector on my PC, and the AUX/CD RCA connector on my amp.

In the Windows audio output selector there is no option to select the output the 3.5mm jack is plugged into, and in the Sound Control Panel, it says:

And when going to the properties of this device, it does list the inputs that are associated with this device, one of which my 3.5mm jack is plugged into.

When my amplifier is turned on, I can gently move the cable near the 3.5mm connector, and get distortion noises coming through my speakers, so there is a signal coming through.

I also have a record player connected to my amp, and this works perfectly. Trying the other non-phono inputs on my amp also did not change anything.

I have tried to install drivers in the following ways:
- Device Manager > Update driver > Browse > Let me pick > High Definition Audio Device
- Device Manager > Update driver > Browse > Let me pick > Realtek High Definition Audio
MSI On-Board Audio Drivers
Realtek High Definition Audio Codecs Software (I have not been able to try installing this yet, as it is a 258 MB file with a max download speed of 37KB/s, and every restart interrupted the download. It is currently downloading)

After each driver install I restarted my PC.

Trying to start up Realtek Audio Console gives me a blank black screen with the message:
"Realtek Audio Console doesn't support for this machine"
I tried starting this up after installing each different driver.

Trying to install Realtek HD Audio Manager gives me a pop up during installation saying:
"No driver was supported in this driver package."
I also tried installing this after installing each different driver.

I feel like I have tried everything I can think of, and so am asking for help here.

I'm kind of angry that from all the things I tried, I somehow didn't think of changing the port on my PC... it works now... thank you ;-;
