Question about "Latest Visitors?"

post-53268-0-44403300-1402204624.pngI like the feature "Latest Visitors" where you get to see who visited your profile and for how long, and I kinda wish other websites had this feature built in. But after checking it out, its been bothering that some random people have been on my profile for like 20 minutes or so. Its not like I'm afraid of my privacy, its just that minor thing that keeps bugging me. Can anyone explain?

Well, people keep coming to your profile. Simple as that.

That would be the time that they visited, not the length of their stay.

The numbers are not for how long they were on your profile for, its the time they were there in the 24 - hour time format I think is what its called, so 20:04 would be 8:04 PM. Correct me if I am wrong.

Okay that explains it. Thanks!

Just means that they clicked on your name. It might be because they are curious about your age, your computer spec, or want to see whatever is in your profile. I put general info about myself and my computer spec in mine.

Bingo.

Never say it's not broken. Everything is broken. Why? Because everything needs MOAR POWA!

I check profiles mostly when user is asking question and hasn't posted all needed specs. If you are paranoid about your privacy, you can always delete all that information you don't wish to share. Or set it private. For some coutries I can understand wish for that since someone could open ie. bank account with your details but really, why would you feel like asl is something to hide?

Its not like I was afraid about my privacy, I just noticed that some people where on my apparently empty profile for like 20 minutes or so and I was curious as to why they were.

Yea, I can explain. I accidentally click on peoples names or actually hover to see who they are in a nutshell and then accidentally open up a tab then since I did it accidentally and unknowingly the tab stays open for who knows how long and for who knows how many restarts of the browser since I restart right where I left off with the same tabs open. So some people think I'm in there bizniz but nope just an accidental tab opener, that's all so if you see me staying for long times in a profile its that you got stuck in my tab mess. Get over it.

Some profiles tell people more about the user, so i click on profiles quite a lot, even random ones to see what kind of people are about.

Sometimes when people want to click a recent thread where it also show the last poster they click the username by accident.

But I'm watching you tho.

muh specs

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it.

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff.

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

I'll open a tab to check info on someone before I comment make sure it's appropriate and all that and forget to close the tab a lot of the time. It's hard staying on top of things with 100+ tabs
