ethernet cable keychain

Hi all, 

Quick question, i know we havent seen the offices in a long while, but when we did see them i saw there was ethernet cable keychains. I would like to make some but not sure how, i have loads of cable just no clue where to start. does anyone know how or have instructions please? 

All the cables i have are already terminated on one end.

From the pictures alone, it looks like you just cut a small length of ethernet cable, carefully pull out 4 of the 8 wires (they're in pairs) cut some of the insulation sleeve leaving the remaining wires longer to bend them back into the insulation sleeve to create the eyelet. Now you can simply crimp the plug to the wires. 

 

Crimping tools are cheap and available everywhere, same for RJ45 plugs.
