What is the default font for GNU Nano and the Linux terminal? I'm trying to use a new font as a writer to make my books more readable. One problem I have in Google Docs with the Georgia font is it's good in terms of readability but sometimes letters kinds merge next to each other sometimes; switching to Times New Roman improves readability somewhat.

What is the default GNU Nano and Linux terminal fonts? And how can I get them on Google docs. They are the best in terms of readability without the letters acting weird when certain ones are next to each other (example: in Georgia font, the F and I in the word 'five' tend to merge a little with the dot on the I becomes part of a lowercase F). ASCII characters from the Linux terminal font make each letter not act weird or merge in with each other. I don't want to use Arial on a printed book because it's an eyesore (granted, Arial is a good readable font, still looks terrible when it's in a book).

I want to use the Linux and GNU Nano font for actually printing onto pages and downloading as PDFs.

There isn't really a default font, I mean there is but probably not what you expect it to be.
Your shell and by extension GNU Nano will use whatever Monospace font is defined for it, this could be defined by consolefont if you are in the tty, a system wide mono font, or a terminal specific font.
