I'm looking for a pair of new headphones. Actually, Iv'e never had a pair of headphones, just headsets. I'm mostly doing gaming but not anything competitive to the point where I need to hear footsteps and things like that. I watch a lot of movies, YouTube and Twitch as well. Of coarse I like to listen to music too.

I need something that is comfortable and has good sound.

For people who have this pair, are these the headphones that will suit my needs?

Thanks for the information.

HD558 might be more comfortable

Will definitely look into this.

i have m50's myself and feel they produce a great sound for the money. check out the various YouTube video reviews on them.  :D

I'll be watching reviews on these and the newly recommended HD558.

I do not know what you're looking for

But I do know that it isn't M50's

A pair of headphones that are comfortable and have good sound for the money. I'm trying to stay within a budget of $125.

Uses: Gaming, music, YouTube, Twitch.

Shure 440 are on Massdrop for $75 and if you pair that with 840 pads, those will be better than M50s at most likely a cheaper price.

Edit: Oh it looks like the Shures might not reach their lowest drop price which is very surprising. Could change within the next few days though.

The ATH AD500x might be good as well. (700x is just outside your budget)

And the 558 obv.

All ways check multiply reviews especially comparisons as you can get a better idea. the problem here is you can get great advice but many people post based on personal taste or on units we've used ourselves, there isnt anything wrong with that but i would just use this as a guide to what video reviews to look at. So as your doing look at those video's.   ;)

M50 are a great all around pair of headohpnes. probably one of my most worthwhile purchases and I don't regret them a bit. if you get them and are interested in pads that allow your ears to breathe, I love mine with the DT-250 pads that are available on amazon.com.

mine have even been modded for a removable cable, which made them much more practical in my mind. I keep forgetting they exist with a permanent cable after that mod.

I would be willing to spend more but only if the extra $15 is worth it.

I've owned both the 500X and 700X - I'd definitely say the difference is not worth it, mostly because I didn't notice a difference.
