This post is for a friend. I wasn't sure where to post this, so i put it here. i have tried to get them to post on here, but no luck. The problems are as said by him "It went from games running bad months ago then to storage randomly going away and then drivers not working and now it’s Windows constantly updating for some reason after I just updated it and also the internet stopped working completely on it." his words.

The specs that i know of: cpu Ryzen 7 5800x, gpu Radeon 9060xt, RAM either 32gb or 64gb of DDR4, motherboard some MSI one, C drive Samsung 980 evo/evo plus 250gb. If other specs or info is needed i will try to get them.

What has been tried to fix this?

Maybe a full reinstall of Windows would do the trick.

I'm not entirely sure of what all he's done, but he's done hours of research. I've mentioned the possibility of a faulty Windows download, but he insists the download of Windows is fine. Thanks for your input. He's considering buying a whole new pc at this point.

At least do a full fresh reinstall of windows and download all the correct drivers, including chipset drivers... Before going out and buying a new PC.

Could just be a faulty motherboard as well or SSD, most components could probably be reused on a 'new system' as well.

But if he ain't willing to come in here to ask for help himself and give more details about the issues and what has been done to try and solve the issue.
I probably won't try to help further than this unfortunately.  I'm not going to talk to people through others with vague descriptions of what is going on.
