MSI Reveals X-99 Motherboard Specs in Computex !!

Many People who went to Computex this year (Including myself) were disappointed that X-99 Motherboards were NOT in Display by ANY of the Motherboard manufacturers ..

None even was able to to give a firm release date .. One Intel employee mentioned the word "August" to me then immediately he reverted it and told me clearly that he couldn't be quoted for it ..

However, seems MSI has broken the norm here .. They (like others) didn't display anything .. but They revealed the specifications in their Official Product Brochure - Page 21

The Motherboard will have the following (Many expected):

- Support for Haswell-E (Socket LGA 2011-3)

- 8 DIMMs for Quad-Channel DDR4 Memory

- 4 PCI-e 16x (Operating speed not mentioned, but logically will be based on how many are used).

- 2 PCI-e 1x

- VGA/DVI and HDMI Ports (That's a surprise, I didn't know that Haswell-E will support built-in graphics, but it's mentioned) !!!!!!

- RealTek Audio

- Intel LAN

- 10 SATA III Ports

- One M.2 and One SATA-Express

- 12 USB 3.0 and 6 USB 2.0 Ports

- Other MSI Goodies

You have the option of SATA-E and M.2 .. but just single disks ..

If you have more redundancy and/or capacity, seems we'll be stuck with SATA III with sometime to come ..
