450D/ASrock extreme 4 led problem

So i have a problem with the front 2 led's (the power led and hdd led) i cant get them both to work at the same time. there is a 2x2 arrangement of headers and only the top row seems to work for both of them, whatever i put in the bottom it doesnt work. i should mention each led cable thing takes 2 pins
