Hi I just built my first PC and now it wont post.
My parts are:
AMD RYZEN 7 5700G
Asrock B550M-HDV
Gigabyte GP-P650G
2 Seagate BarraCuda 2TB
Crucial P310 SSD 1TB
Corsair VENGEANCELPX32GB (2X 16GB) DDR4

The fans are spinning the front panel power led lights up but I don't get any video output.

Do you have any troubleshooting tips?

I followed this guide, removed everything non-essential (hdds, ssd), removed one ram stick (also tried the other one), reseated the cpu, changed monitors and cables. Nothin helped what do I do now?

Do I just get a new motherboard/ram/etc.?

Is the PC cycling on and off?

Recheck all the connections?

Any debug lights flashing and whatnot?

Try re-seating the CPU.

Check the monitor and cables too.

Monitor and cables work with my laptop, I also tried different cables and a TV.
After re-seating the CPU, it still won't post

Starting to seem like a defective CPU. See if you get your hands on another ryzen CPU with integrated graphics for testing.

If it still does not work, then it's probably a motherboard issue.

Your cpu has an igpu, so try to connect the hdmi cable to the mobo.

If that doesn't work you can try that with the gpu disassembled.

Oh, I don't have a GPU as this pc is supposed to be a nextcloud/immich/homeassistant server

is your mobo Bios uptodate ?

Edit : you can't change the bios and it should work by default.

Did you wait a a few minutes, shut off, start again (a few times) ?

Can you show us a good picture of your motherboard with stuff connected.

The sticker on the mobo shows version P3.30 which should support the cpu.
The PSU is in the case in the picture

If you don't answer to us, we don't get notified.

Please connect an SSD, a screen, mouse, keyboard to that mobo on the mobo box.

(next time you can buy and connect a mobo speaker which gives some diagnostic)

Can you create a usb Windows installation key and try it ?

How can a psu fit in that box ?

I tried that, but I can't event get into the bios. I don't get any video output on startup

😄 Not in that box, it's in the pc case (Asus Prime AP201 MicroATX Mini Tower Case) next to the motherboard

When a new system boots, first it checks Ram, this can take some time, if you had a speaker you could hear it.

Then it often doesn't display before you reboot. I've had to reboot in the past.

Also it'd be interesting to try with a gpu.

(I believe your issue is a small thing)

Does the motherboard come with diagnostic LED lights or speaker?

I have a 3-5v buzzer from an arduino lying around, would this work as a mobo speaker?

how does it look like ? 5V sounds good, I guess it depends on the connector (speaker is top half)

WE HAVE PROGRESS!!
3 (i think long) beeps.

a quick google search gave me this:

Quote

Asrock Beep Codes: 3 Long Beeps

ASRock beep codes are short, audible codes that indicate a problem with your computer’s hardware or BIOS. These codes are used to help diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues.

One of the most common ASRock beep codes is three long beeps. This code indicates a problem with your computer’s memory. If you hear this beep code, checking your computer’s memory for errors is important. You can reinstall the memory properly.

Also, ensure only one PCIe module is installed in each slot to verify the memory with the problem.

after re-installing my m.2 ssd i got the same beep code

I found this, also memory. But does memory mean storage or Ram, I tend for Ram.

So I'd take them off and carefully reseat only one stick (try all slots) and boot again.
