Hello, I'm buying PSU and I only have those available. PC with R9 9950X3D and 5090

Only requirement is that its relatively quiet and works properly 🙂

Price sorted from cheapest to most expensive

-Gigabyte UD1300GM PG5 1300W ATX 3.0
-MSI MAG A1250GL PCIE5 1250W

-MSI MEG Ai1300P PCIE5 1300W

-SeaSonic Prime PX 1300W

-Cooler Master V Platinum V2 1600W ATX 3.1

-Corsair HX1500i 2025 1500W ATX 3.1
-be quiet! Dark Power Pro 13 1300W
-SeaSonic PRIME TX ATX 3.0 1300W

I was thinking of Corsair HX1500i but it only has PCIE 6x2 connections, no native 12x6 whatever cable. Instead it comes with adapter for 6x2 to new standard. Is that fine?

With so much power draw for a 5090, I would pick a PSU which has the new 12VHP/12V-2x6 connection. But that's mostly me. I want an up-to-date PSU if I'm paying that much, that doesn't use old standards. There's a reason I guess why they invented 12VHP/12V-2x6.

As for the brand, I'm happy with my Seasonic PSU.

Main machine:  Ryzen 9 9950x3D - Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5070ti OC 16GB  - Gigabyte X870E AORUS ELITE WIFI7 - 64GB DDR5 6000MHz CL30 - Seasonic FOCUS GX-1000 ATX3.1 - Lancool 207 digital - Artic liquid freezer III Pro - 2 x 27" AOC Q27G4X - WD SN850X 2TB - 2 x WD SN770 2TB

Remote client:  Razer Blade 15 (2020) base - i7 10750H - GeForce RTX 2060 - 16GB DDR4 3000MHz (only used for decoding streams from main machine)

Of course it has 12v-2x6 cable:

It does not matter if PSU side has same format socket for a cable. 12 volts is 12 volts.

It even has two of the 12v-2x6 cables.

HX1500i is a good option. Only minus I come to think of is the size of the unit - it might not fit in some case.

Pax vobiscum
