LG IPS Monitor on sale, but is it any good ?

Thony

Hello all good and helpful people :)

FYI I live in UK.

Today I am building my 1st new PC and as I was on a website I found this monitor on sale http://www.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecials/Other+products/LG+24MB35PY+24%22+Inch+Widescreen+IPS+LED+Monitor+?productId=60103

Currently I am using like 7 years old Benq http://www.amazon.co.uk/BenQ-FP91V-19-inch-Monitor-response/dp/B000AMI280 and it really is a time to upgrade.

I've been thinking about buying a 22"-24" IPS monitor (Lightroom/Photoshop/some gaming) for a while so I will buy one very soon.

The reason I am hesitating to buy the mentioned LG monitor is that I cannot find any reviews online, any unboxings for that specific model at all. It is around £180 worth monitor, so why is nobody mentioning it anywhere ?! What is going on ?

Does anybody know anything about LG 24MB35PY-B ?
Does LG have bad reputation in monitors market ?!

So I am just wondering:  is it a good buy or not ? (considering it is very well priced atm)

Thank you all for any replies.

PS. This topic is not to find a good IPS monitor under £150, I only want to know about this LG monitor. I know there is millions topics about what IPS is best for the price on this forum :)

From what I know, iirc, most of the IPS panels are made by LG anyway, so the panel should be pretty good. Decent monitor for the price from what I've heard.

LG is one of the main OEMs (along with Sharp and Samsung) for IPS displays, so anything they make will be just fine. :)

LG is a great brand in my opinion. I've owned an LG for a number of years and I've been happy with it.  Another good brand is Dell. If you're looking for something affordable, the Ultrasharp U2711 has a color gamut of 110% and it's about 650.
