I have a PSU Corsair PSU 850W RM850x 80+ Gold Fully Modular Will the PCIE cables from Corsair PSU 750W TX750M 80+ Gold Modular work with my current PSU? As I am trying to find info, and well on the 850W one on Corsair website it says it uses Type-4 Cables, while on the 750W one there is no mention of the cable type.

I've been looking for a while.

I couldn't find either.

My conclusion is they are not compatible.

(If you had the cables, you could compare them and decide for yourself)

Type 3 and Type 4 are only different in the 24 pin cable.

The only difference between Type 3 and Type 4 cables is the pinout of the 24-pin ATX cable; all other cables (SATA, PCIe, etc) are the same.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

When in doubt. Email Corsair and ask.

@Vash Baldeus ‒ Using the Corsair Legacy PSU Cable Compatibility table, the only difference is the TX-M series has is the fixed 24-pin ATX & EPS cables whereas the RMx series is fully modular. Apart from that, the other cables line up… TYPE-3 & TYPE-4 (except the for 24 pin ATX cables) are pin for pin identical.

If you are in any doubt regarding the information I provided, contact the manufacturer for confirmation.
