I have a mac and i hate the news app apple tv and many more its useless to me and i try and stay off the news cause i see things i do not like and i do not like any of the apps that come pre installed

im fairly tech savvy on most reguards but have no clue how to delete these.... even if i have to ill use terminal or something if thats something i can do but im really not interested in keeping this kinda of stuff on my mac.

any help would be great thanks

I don't think it lets you because they're part of the digitally signed system partition. Removing them would mean "breaking the seal" on that partition, which defeats the purpose of having that security in the first place.

 

Just un-pin them from the Dock and forget they exist.

since mac is UNIX based (so it's kinda simliiar to linux in some ways) you probably need something like a superuser access in order to delete restricted stuff, however considering dumb strict apple policies are in terms of freedom i belive it's almost impossible to delete them.

 

you could try to find a way to become "root" and delete stuff, it's probably disabled by default but there could be ways of enabling it. it's most likely that you will need to use terminal

Last I checked, only way to do that was to disable disk encryption and that means wiping your mac to factory state. I am not sure if things changed since macos 15.
