Building my new pc and having trouble with case fans

I daisy chained my 3 case fans together and then plugged it into SYS_FAN1. However I don't know what to do with the rgb connectors because I already used D_LED2 for my cpu cooler fans rgb connector. There's a D_LED1 on the bottom left of the board but none of my fan rgb connectors can reach it. Should I unplug my cpu cooler fan rgb connector from D_LED2, connect it to D_LED1 (not sure if it will reach but i can try), and use D_LED2 for my case fans rgb instead? Or should I daisy chain the rgb connectors of my case fans and cpu cooler fans together as that was suggested as an option in the build guide I watched

Also my cpu cooler wires are just sitting there and I don't know how to hide them

Case: Fractal Pop Air
Motherboard: Gigabyte b650 gaming x ax v2
CPU cooler: Thermalright phantom spirit 120 se argb
Case fans: Arctic p12 pst argb

Sorry for the nooby question any help appreciated

Daisy chain should work.
Or if you want to use different header, just buy an ARGB extension cable, should be pretty dirt cheap.

if you can get it to reach swap the cables or daisychain I'd say either should work especially if there a build guide showing the daisychaining working, seperate headers might make it more difficult to get the colours to sync perfectly if you are using rainbow or breathing effects

Is daisychaining okay in regards to power if it's 5 fans on one header? This is the video

I'm not sure I've run 3 fans daisy chained without issue, you could look into a fancontroller, if its the rgb your daisychaining I'd assume they don't use a lot of power its mostly for controlling colours and patterns

Yeah it’s just the rgb being daisychained, the arctic fans say the leds have a power draw of 0.4a, and my motherboard manual says the header has a “maximum power rating of 5a (5v)”. I can’t find the power draw of the thermalright fan leds, but surely it can’t be too much for the header?

I'd say its a similar power draw, if they're a bit dimmer than they should be then you might need to use a second header

Fan, or RGB.

https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Manual/mb_manual_b650-gx-v2_1202_e.pdf?v=aa6a402bad181b9afe4e429f4302f979

Your motherboard manual says that motherboard PWM headers is good for up to 2A load. (Page 22)

Standard PC fan usually only up to 0.25A, though you can simply try to find spec page of your fans.

Example : Arctic P12 PWM PST

https://www.arctic.de/en/P12-PWM-PST/ACFAN00120A

image.png.20de6ec8b08bf650a1bd3a1f34952b67.png

ARGB headers based on manual is good up to 5A load, or around 1000 LEDs max. (Page 23)

Fans / RGB devices sometimes lists the amount of LEDs inside them in their spec page.

Example : Arctic P12 PWM PST A-RGB

https://www.arctic.de/en/P12-PWM-PST-A-RGB/ACFAN00231A

And there is always the option of buying a powered hub too, for both fans and/or argb.

add up the amperage listed on the back of the fan.

If it adds up to less than 1 Amp?  you're good to daisy chain.

IE:  If they're 0.15A Fans?  You can do 5 with no problem.
