Hello just looking to see if theres an easy way to underclock my pc
cpu = 7 5700x

gpu = 4060ti 16gb

motherboard = aorus pro ax itx

max temps for cpu is 70 and gpu is 80, idle for cpu is 45-50 and gpu is 50-60

looking to reduce this temps for longevity and overoll just to keep things safe

underclocking will not meaningfully help with that as temps are already ideal.

Common build advice:

1) Buy the cheapest (well reviewed) motherboard that has the features you need. Paying more typically only gets you features you won’t use. 2) only get as much RAM as you need, getting more won’t (typically) make your PC faster. 3) While I recommend getting an NVMe drive, you don’t need to splurge for an expensive drive with DRam cache, DRamless drives are fine for gamers. 4) paying for looks is fine, just don’t break the bank. 5) Tower coolers are usually good enough, unless you go top tier Intel or plan on OCing. 6) OCing is a dead meme, you probably shouldn’t bother. 7) "Bottlenecks" rarely matter and "Future-proofing" is a myth. 8) AIOs don't noticeably improve performance past 240mm and don't improve at all past 360mm. 9) RTFM.

Why od you want to underclock? Those temps are well weithing the safe area, with lots of buffer room before there close to being dangerous. And the chips will self throttly before any damage can be done.

I want to keep my pc safe from heat is all and seeing that my idle temps basically heats up the whole case im scared some parts or chips wont handle it since it is a mini-itx case, there is no fan in this case just the cpu cooler and the gpu doing the air blowing

The CPU and GPU are the hottest parts in the case. Everything else will be alot cooler, and everything in a computer can stand up to decently high temperatures. There is no need to underclock in this case.

Those idle temps are normal. It won't damanage anything letting them run at those temps for long periods. Don't worry about it.

While those temps are 1000% fine and will do no damage, to answer your question, no, there is no easy way to underclock like there is for overclock. You're in for the same journey as a manual overclock: fiddle some settings, boot, test for stability, repeat.
Also, frankly you did a great job building to get temps that low in a mini case

I think there is. The cpu : lower the max frequency (don't know about AMD 😬), the gpu : same or lower the temp/power limit, Done.

While I agree with the others about the nonissue, I still propose to undervolt that gpu (rather than underclock). Which would lower your thermals while maintaining performance. And it's easy.

If you actually want to reduce temperatures, you don't want to underclock the components. You'd want to power limit them.

Power consumption is what ultimately generates the heat. If you power limit the CPU and graphics card, it will reduce the temperature, because they can't draw as much power anymore.

Doing this will result in reduced performance, and the temperatures you gave are totally fine, but if you really want to give up performance to have the components run cooler, that's what you'd do.

For the CPU, you can use Ryzen Master, or use the AMD Overclocking settings in the BIOS, and reduce the PPT, EDC, and TDC.

For the graphics card, you can use MSI Afterburner and use the slider to reduce the power limit.
