I've just purchased a r9 280x and I have a 500w evga psu, although a lot of people say I should be good to go with a 500w psu, I don't want to risk it. I have a budget of £70, can anyone recommend me a good power supply?

Edit: Should I even buy a psu? I mean I have a OC'd 4100 to 4.4ghz, 1HDD, a fan controller and 5 case fans.

what psu are you using and how long you've had it? 500w is PLENTY for a 280x and an oc'd fx4100.

I have a 500w evga 80+ bronze, i've had it for about a month. Had a no brand 750w before.

The 500B is plenty.

I just bought this, http://www.ebuyer.com/630112-evga-supernova-750-g2-fully-modular-gold-power-supply-10-year-warranty-220-g2-0750-xr

if u order within 5 hours u'll get it tomorrow, bit more than £70 but worth the extra tenna or so! (and exactly the same situation, upgraded to 280x on a 530 watt PSU)

I'm not sure what your system is pulling but I built mine in PC Partpicker and it came to an estimated 500 watts

His system should pull under ~350w.

I used eXtreme Power Supply Calculator, and my system pulls 400w under full load
