My friend asked me to find this out since he could'n't. When transporting a cpu, can you put it in a little baggie and store it someplace without it getting ANY damage? What are the risks of killing it? How much static could there be? Thanks for any help on this!!!!

This depends on which CPU you are talking about. If it is an Intel then it would be best to wrap it in plastic wrap and then put it in a baggie, if it is an AMD then you would want to wrap it in the same plastic wrap bu use some sort of hard plastic container to ensure the pins do not bend.

Even better use the original package the CPU came with if you have it.

A water-cooled mid-tier gaming PC.

ESD bag with plenty of bubble wrap would be pretty safe.

You don't wanna put it in a normal plastic bag as they can build up a huge amount of static.

Bubble wrap isn't really ideal, but as long as it's outside of the ESD bag, it should be ok.

Hope this helps! :)
