Yes, availability is becoming an issue due "reasons" here. 🙄

Can I ask your opinion of these 2 options? I can't really see the difference (pua vs aua). I can see that pua has a soundbar bundle option. Is that it?

Not a bad gaming TV either!  It has the refreshrate you want, it has Gsync support for your 4090 and great features.

I checked through all specs and they are identical except for the sound bar, I think you are right on this 🙂

For my personal HEDT system I have an Asus PG43UQ that was initially my primary display, but is now my secondary display. However, pretty much as soon as I moved it, it died. I've had problems with it since I bought it. It's been RMA'd a couple of times. I'm looking for a replacement. However, my wall space is limited to that form factor (16:9, 38" wide). I want a 4K display at at least 120Hz refresh rate. The problem is I'm (1) not finding anyone producing this form factor anymore and (2) if they do (Samsung & Asus), there's complete unavailability.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good 4K 40-43" 16:9 VESA mount capable Display Port input display?

Specs

Windows 11 Professional

Intel i9-13900K

Asus RYUJIN 360 CPU Cooler

Asus ROG Maximus Z790 Extreme

Corsair 64GB DDR5 Dominator RAM

MSI NVIDIA 4090 Suprim Liquid Cooled

2x 1TB Samsung 990 NVMe SSD (RAID 0)

Samsung 55" Odyssey Ark 2nd Gen

Asus 43" PG43UQ

Do you have a budget?  To find a 16:9 you might have to look at 'Gaming TV's' instead of monitors like the LG OLED42C4PUA.

42'' 4k - 120hz native with Gsync support for your 4090.

Something under $2K. That would definitely fit the bill and it looks like reviews are decent. The Samsung reviews are abysmal (especially when using Display Port) and my luck with the Asus (as stated) have been underwhelming. Thank you!

BTW, nice avatar! 🏎️

Understood.  I would say that the Gaming TV above definitely fits within your budget and requirements.

I live in Norway so we have slightly different products and product names so me looking for something that is available in the US can be tough.

But at least you know that you can look in the TV section, maybe its possible to sort by hz or Gsync support to find what you want.

Thank you all for your advice and feedback! I don't buy monitors frequently, so I typically default to usual suspects. I really appreciate the additional perspectives! I think I'll go with the lg-oled42c5aua-oled-4k-tv. I don't need a sound bar as I run a Bose PC Companion set on this PC.

I actually do think that this is a great choice!

If I were looking for a 16:9 gaming monitor/TV, this is what I would go with as well.

I just ordered it! 🥰

Now to get the network gear ordered to move my servers down to the garage.

Lovely!  Hope you will be happy with it 🙂

I might look into one too soon!  I like to chill back with my controller while playing RPG's and Forza Horizon games.
