AMD vs INTEL ... again.

The title is not what you think probably. I am getting  a pc that has a amd mobo that only supports A-series and Athlon series cpus. Than i will be selling my laptop, and i could afford a better cpu. (the cpu will be a athlon x4 740). Should i go for AMD CPU Kaveri A10-Series X4 7850K? 

Or should i replace the mobo with a intel compatible and go for something like (better) a i3 -4150? My budget cannot be bigger than 200 $.

depends, do you have a dedicated GPU? if so, something like a 760k will probably be your best bet for gaming and an A10 would make no sense at all. If you don't have a GPU, you'll pretty much need the A10.

Well your current GPU is pretty good, so there's not much reason to get an APU. You could upgrade to a 760k, but I'm not sure if that would be a worthwhile upgrade.

again, it depends on if you have a GPU or not. The Athlon is basically just an A10 without the onboard graphics.  If you have your own graphics card, you don't need onboard graphics.

Agreed. If you don't have an SSD already, it'll probably one of the main things that'll noticeably enhance your experience with the computer.
