Hi, @LinusTech @nicklmg! So I was recently browsing the desk pads section on LTTstore and I was  unpleasantly surprised. I have shopped at your store before I will do it again I am a big fan of the channel and every experience with LTT so far has been amazing.  98% of the sizes are out of stock, some of them permanently. With how active your other products are and how good the other experiences were with LTTStore I am surprised. I LOVE Lttstore and LTT in general and you as well, I think you are awesome and LTT always stands out with excellent care for the customer, that's why I am writing. This is a friendly advice please you need to fix this. I love desk pads and I am sure many people will be happy if you have more vibrant designs on there and more color variants of the black ones like for example a black circuit desk pad with purple circuits. How awesome would that be? And please restock the sizes, you were boasting how you have every size and now you have such a poor selection, come on you have to fix this. Just because you like screwdrivers and backpacks doesn't mean you need to forget your other customers and fans that like the other products, come on. Please fix this, this is a friendly nudge by a pissed off friend trying to HELP you. Hopefully you do something about it. Thanks! I will also post it on the forums so there is a higher chance of someone seeing it. And no I didn't write to support because you don't have such a topic.

Oh and by the way I will be more than happy to do it for you for free. I have coordinated enough difficult custom shipments for myself, so if you just don't have the time I could be your agent coordinating orders from suppliers and so on and so forth. I am NOT kidding 100% serious. I would be more than happy to help just pm me.

You don't seem to understand the sheer cost of having different designs in stock. There's a reason you keep the variations low, and with colour palettes that go with many peoples builds. Restocks also take time. There could be backlog at the facility that makes them, delays to ports, etc.

I have shopped at your store before I will do it again I am a big fan of the channel and every experience with LTT so far has been amazing. Up till now, the deskpad section is mildly put...terrible! WTF is even going on there? 98% of the sizes are out of stock, some of them permanently(why even keep them on the website) or just restock them and for about 10 years which is the time I got my Northern Lights deskpad that I love you only have 4 permanent designs there and 3 of them are plain black with a splash of design? Seriously??! With how active your other products are and how good the other experiences were with LTTStore I am shocked and pissed off. By the way my experience with buying a deskpad last time when your store was much smaller was much better than that, I know it's harder but you have to adjust, I know you are perfectly capable. And no, this is not a hate message, I LOVE Lttstore and LTT in general and you as well, I think you are awesome and LTT always stands out with excellent care for the customer, that's why I am writing. Wow, be less angry.  You mention anger emotions way too much for a deskpad suggestion thread.

What Dizmo said is spot on.  Watch GN's video about tariff impact to gain a basic knowledge of economics, you'll understand why LTT's choice is smart.

What are you talking about? This is a huge wall of angry text.

But I totally get your frustration—desk-pad stock has been rough lately—but bear in mind LTTstore is still a relatively small operation and they’ve been hit by:

  1. Minimum order quantities & forecasting
They often need to order big batches of each size, so if one size doesn’t move, it’ll stay out of stock until the next run.

  2. Supply-chain & tariffs
Shipping delays and import duties have tightened everyone’s timelines and margins this year.

  3. Design & sensor compatibility
High-contrast art can throw off some mouse sensors, which is why they stick to simpler patterns.

I’m confident if enough of us ask for more vibrant desk-pad options, they’ll roll out new runs. In the meantime, you can watch the “Back in Stock” notifier on each product page.

Let’s give them a nudge—but we know they care as much as we do!

Sure yes it might have seemed angrier than it was, but I decided that will be more of a wake up call for them than juts asking them super politely, as I said I love them in general so that won't change my opinion for them.  And I think your answer was the most actually properly thought out so I choose to answer that. The rest of the people seem to think I have no idea what's going on in the economics world and that is not true. I understand about the tariffs but the other products seem fine, I don't see why deskpads would be so much harder to stock than anything else. I feel like the issue is more maybe they forgot about them a little bit because they began making a lot of other stuff and maybe they need more people now to catch up for all their products, maybe they just can't do it quick enough with how many people they got now, like for example during the shipstorm event support was delayed to 5 business days which shows you how busy they are so maybe they just need more people because they might be a relatively small operation but the number of orders and customers have skyrocketed which is good but also hard to handle. So I am keeping this thread as I already said as a FRIENDLY nudge, some people just can't get the memo. If you are being too polite with a store they are more likely to not take you seriously, trust me I know. That doesn't mean I hate them it's just a technique I would say.  So there you go, hopefully they see that and maybe route a little bit more resources to the deskpad section. Thanks! And for people that CLEARLY did not get the memo you are aware that there a lot of deskpad stores in the world and a lot of them good probably not even worse than LTT so I could have just said oh alright and just bought a deskpad from somewhere else, but did I? No, instead I wrote this message because I love LTT and I want to buy from them. Hopefully you get it now. Anyway thanks for the comprehensive and understating reply, @helgehelge123!

Have you considered operating your own deskpad company? With such outstanding advice and insight, I feel like you could easily compete in the market. /s

If you wanted to appear as not aggressive you could have reduced your two walls of text to "Hey, LTT, I really like X-style and Y-size deskpads. Can any of those formats come back in stock? If so, when?"

Why do you need an LTT deskpad, with the many other deskpad retailers out there as you note.

Getting on someone's ass because you want them to make something for you is entitled.  You can think how you like, but my opinion is you are coming off entitled as hell.

You're right tho.  LTT needs to get off their lazy asses and make more deskpad options for you!

Can you imagine going into a store, like a bakery and asking if they make a cake in the shape of king kong?   Why not you ask!? You want one, so they should have to make one, right?

Cuz you want one.

Yep.

While I'm exaggerating, look at how you're coming across, if you were LTT.

Yes of course because I am the one making the suggestion. If I am suggesting a new style it's called product suggestion, look it up. I am not saying they NEED to make it right NOW because I want it. I am just suggesting it because I am pretty sure 10000 more people or more on this Earth are gonna absolutely love it. If LTT decides I am wrong they can just not make it and I will be fine with that.

Funnily enough if I had enough capital to begin with I could probably do it. Also ""Can any of those formats come back in stock? If so, when?"''-will certainly result in them just politely telling me it won't be back in stock and sorry for the inconvenience or something. I have chatted with enough stores to know that these are utterly useless questions, that's not how you make a change.

I am glad you revisited your approach some already by clarifying this is not a "I need this now and I demand it from you now" approach. That has been the most rational piece I have read from you thus far. I don't expect my personal joy holds value to you, but it was more of highlighting and appreciating the good I saw.

Help me understand how you're rationalizing what came across as aggressive and overkill (first 2 walls of post you made) as the way to "make a change". I thought you mutually agreed your approach was far too much. Feel free to lay out where I might have read you wrong, but just know that is the way it came across on my end.

If politeness is truly not an option, perhaps move on to different ventures? Forum etiquette does exist and while it isn't always enforceable by rules. It helps build mutual respect to be polite. It might be more useful to find discussions where you can engage without letting emotions override manners.

Another forum etiquette you seemed to be ignorant towards is pinging the faculty/staff of the forum. Forcing (or attempting to force) people into your conversation is not how you get attention.

yeah I decided to rework my message because I thought it would come the wrong way to LMG. I definitely did not mean it as a hateful message . As for the pinging, my dear CasualExtremist 😄 , but seriously for the pinging it was just for efficiency. I thought it might reach them more easily like that. I mean after all the point of that was a product suggestion/feedback. This is the proper place to do that as by design.

You tend to frame your posts with an initial assumption that they'd want to expend time and resources coordinating with you, and only you, for your personal desires. This is the proper place to inquire, but wording in the inquiry matters also. Might I reference your choice to say

22 hours ago, userXZ7 said:

that's not how you make a change

Which infers that your solution will and is thusly validated. I disagree with that on every level. Especially with you assuming the response you'd get on a forum to be the same as an automated email response.

Your current approach, including the rationalization for tagging folks at your whim, is only "efficient" for you. Imagine if they actually looked at everything someone pings them for. Nothing else would get done. Especially once everyone realized they can also ping them and get results. Apply that to all the product demands they likely receive. Why do you get to be the exception to the rule and get such large influence over product decisions?

Ironically enough, the aspects of bringing back some out-of-stock options and refreshing with new colorways are perfectly agreeable/desirable by the LTT customer base. However, you have ran off the majority of anyone who'd engage and agree with you by the tone, framing, and sheer word volume of your posts.

The reservations I still hold relative to your core suggestion is that they have a rather capable team handling existing products and future variations of them. If they haven't restocked or added new colorways, there is likely a reason. Hence why I still believe one or two sentences with a basic inquiry would have been a more optimal approach to get a more optimal response. Give them a chance to express that reasoning before becoming the "pissed off friend".

May I ask—what age range are you in? @userXZ7 I’m genuinely trying to get a sense of your background, but I’m having a hard time. The way you write comes off as very immature — reacting emotionally rather than engaging constructively.

At the same time, you reference experience with large-scale, international projects, which suggests a level of professional experience that doesn’t quite match the tone. If I had to guess, I’d say you’re around 19 and still building up your real-world experience—maybe overestimating your skill level a bit.
