I was thinking about getting a new gaming mouse and headset, I was thinking about Sound Blaster evo and the steel series rival.

What do you guys think

Thanks

I realize that I'm currently encroaching on the 'Peripherals' territory, but why not consider headphones over a headset?

Even you can be this hot if you buy a pair of headphones (sans lipstick, those are for formalities, whores, and people stuck in a previous era)

A good quality Sennheiser headphones and a clip-on/desk mic beats a headset any day. The HD 595 is pretty decently priced. HD 598 as well.

For a desk mic, the Yeti or Snowball from Blue Microphones. Clip-on mic: http://www.amazon.com/Zalman-Zm-Mic1-Sensitivity-Headphone-Microphone/dp/B00029MTMQ

for mouse, unless you want something different, there are only 3 real choices(if you want a special shape or buttons thats another thing)

These are Logitech G400s, Logitech G502 and Mionix 7000

and i agree with the above about getting headphones and a mic.

Kingston HyperX Cloud + Razer Deathadder/Steelseries Sensei RAW/Logitech G502.

could also go seperate headphone + mic for audio. but IMO if your not going to spend around the $200+ range for a pair of cans its not really worth while.

Exceptions are sennheiser cans that are known to be good that hover in the low to mid $100 range because of being permanently on sale in places like amazon. (HD380 Pro/HD558)
