Budget (including currency): 10k USD

Country: United States

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: blender unity cyberpunk type performance games

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc.): So the a6000 is good for workstations and the 5090 is good for gaming rigs but I want to do both which one is best for that.

Your last thread got locked.  Are you actually serious about a dual 5090 build?

We ask that you are honest with us and not wasting our time.

Is there a reason you'd need 48GB of VRAM?

Once again, no details about anything. If you are certain your workload benefits from obscene amounts of vram and can utilize two cards at once, by all means drop a used corolla money on 2x5090s or 2xA6000s. Other wise just get a single 4070tiS-4080-5080 and call it the day.

you "need" it? AKA you'll make renders the quality of Disney or better?

Well there's other stuff I would use it for besides just rendering and gaming

like AI?

I dont know what to tell you, you probably want 5090 because it's new, and grab it when it's like not 300% price inflated.

4090 is 24GB and 5090 is 32GB, A6000 is 48GB but it's also comparably slower card, because it's an "older" workstation card.

A6000 was released in 2020, 5090 is this year's 2025 release, so I'd incline towards 5090, for the more processing power.

Unless there's a reason you "know" about, that would justify getting even more VRAM than 32GB on the 5090, it doesn't really make much sense.

I'd first consider if you even need more than 32GB of VRAM, or if it's overdoing it, and 5090 would be fine.

Because there's nothing wrong with getting A6000, if you really need that VRAM, but if you don't need that VRAM, 5090 will do whatever it is that you do, faster.

Well the a6000 is a workstation card, but besides AI and rendering I also want to game, so the 5090

then 5090 is your card if you can afford the absurd price, or the slightly less absurd price if you wait for more reasonable pricing
