I use industrial silicon compund that costs $2.50. I have used IC diamond, TX4, Silver 5. The difference is 2c...

I have MX-4. It's more a question of applying it correctly and a clean mount, rather than the correct thermal paste. I have mounted my previous Dark Rock 2 multiple times with the wsame paste but with up to 10 °C difference because i did a better mount.

It doesn't really matter, the difference in temps between a good and a bad thermal paste is like 2'c
