I've tried both of these stress tests on my computer (4670k@4.4ghz), and I'm trying to figure out why I get such different temperatures with them. Running prime95 pushes my temperatures up to 80 to 86 degrees, while aida64 only pushes them up to around 65, which is much more in line with what I see when I'm folding, encoding video, or otherwise occupying 100% of the CPU naturally. Which of these tests should I pay more attention to?

You're and your are not the same. Neither are their, there, and they're. Defiantly and Definitely are definitely not the same. Definately and Rediculous are not words, and you should feel bad for misspelling them. If English is your first language, you don't have a learning disorder, and you get any of these wrong, you are making the entire forum slightly dumber by doing so. Please take the extra three seconds to type properly, and have a nice day.

Prime95 and Haswell don't mix.

 

OCCT is the best.

A couple of people have advised me against Prime95 because it puts too much stress on the chip, they have recommended AIDA64 to me which I've used for quite a while.

With AIDA64 it depends on what you select to stress test. For the CPU you can stress test the CPU and or the FPU. If you select the CPU only the teperatures are lower than if you select the CPU & FPU.
