to Noctua Casefan NF-P12 redux-1700 PWM (are they good?

yes, very good, i have them.

as for fansplitters yes they're safe with these fans... but you said you have 3 headers, shouldn't that be enough?

however,  its advisable to only put 2 fans on one header,  so depending on your setup you would need several splitters (i recommend noctua,  they have nice cabling)

not using any splitters rn cause my case comes with a fan hub.

I'm an PC noob, but want to change and add fans in my pc since the current ones are quite loud. But my mobo doesn't have enough fan headers, so I want to add a fan splitter, but are they safe to use? Also where should I connect them to?

Mobo: MSI Pro B650M-P

It has 1cpu fan, 1pump fan and 3sys fans. Cpu and pump fan have a max current of 3A and 36W and the sys fans 2A and 24W.

I want to have a total of 3 fans, changing my current ones to Noctua Casefan NF-P12 redux-1700 PWM (are they good? I don't care if it looks ugly, just want peformance and silence)

Energy it uses: 1.08W, 12V and 0.09A (max)

I also use have the case NZXT H5 Flow (2022) which has 2 fans in them. 1 on the back and 1 diagonally on the bottom. (Should i also change out these fans ore leave them be?)

With a fan cooler on the cpu, that should come to 6 fans in total.

So i assume i put the fan that is on the cpu on cpu_fan1 header (I think its on that already, but forgot and cant easily check it rn). That leaves me with the 2 fans from the case and 3 other fans, with 4 fan headers available. So can/should i use a fan splitter and where do i connect all those fans?

(I want to have 2 fans in the front as intake and 1 on top as outtake and the case has a back fan for outtake and a bottom fan for intake, so that should all be good right?

The stock NZXT fans are not terrible. Have you tried installing MSI Center? Under Features there is Cooling Wizard where you can adjust fan speeds based on current temperatures.

You can set this in BIOS as well but can be a bit more overwhelming: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?threads/guide-how-to-set-up-a-fan-curve-in-the-bios.369711/

maybe not terrible,  but underwhelming and quite noisy.

i agree, its probably not technically necessary to change them out, but op said they're too loud and i have to agree with that too.

I've been using the stock 2 fans in my H510 Flow that sits on my desk as intakes and haven't noticed them. Granted it's winter in this hemisphere so they haven't done a single rotation since ... November.

Thanks for replying! If I'm going to use a splitter, should i do it from the pump- or sys fan? And what even is the difference between them?
