Having finisherd assembling my new pc

AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Thermalright Phantom Spirit EVO
Storage: Samsung 990 Pro 1 TB
Storage: Samsung 990 Pro 2 TB
Video Card: Sapphire NITRO+ Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24 GB Video Card
Case: Fractal Design Torrent Compact RGB ATX Mid Tower Case
Motherboard: MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard
Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory

PSU 1000W antec thing.

I came to install windows 11 from a usb media i had created using the windows tool on there website.  Seems like its going to go ok then i get a box popping up asking me to "Install driver to show hardwear".

My drives appear in bios so im not sure what it wants.  Ive done some searching for info but it seems to be more referenceing upgrades rather than clean installs, id be greatful if someone could please give me some options.

After that failed i installed windows 10, and that went on without a problem.  But id sooner have windows 11 on, i was hoping once id installed that id just get a big button to push in upgrade to windows 11 but no such luck.

Anyway, hope someone can help.

Brian.

Can't you just skip the install driver thing? If windows 10 is ok now. You can just run the install again from the usb and it should be fine. You can delete the drives, when installing win 11.

Hi there!
Did you try installing from a "selfmade" bootable USB, using a downloaded ISO and made with Rufus? If not you can try that, for some reason this sometimes works. Also, when installing, you can use the old installer and install it that way (I think its called "use old option" or something along the lines). Worst case, do a BIOS update and then everything should work fine.

Make sure the drive you're trying to install Win11 on is formatted as a GPT partition, it's a requirement for a system drive. But even better, stay on 10 - better system management and stability. For example, the latest Win11 somehow manages to bork the Internet completely with the only fix being a rollback.
