Hi All. Looking for anyone who can help here.

Every since my PC turned 1 year old it seems to think its ready to call it a day.

First issue I had was an untraceable Issue. PC would blue screen multiple times a day when under load. I replaced the CPU cooler upgrading it to a AIO, replaced the GPU, doubled my RAM and increased cooling. I only fixed the issue when I replaced my NVME with a Sata SSD. It looks like the GPU was heating up the NVME due to its placement which caused it to fail despite it having a heatsink on. So we swapped it out with a SATA and called it a day. issue disappeared.

Recently, ive had a similar issue again. When playing titles such as Valorant, Rocket league and overwatch 2, my PC's screen will turn off. Then turn back on as if it's got a signal, but remain with a full black screen. HOWEVER my PC is still ON and working as I can still communicate with people in discord, but my friends can tell me that ive been kicked out the game which makes me think its not my screen or cable but something software or other hardware. But this issue hasn't happened in Arma 3.

Ive just updated my BIOS and all my driers once this issue started and its not fixed this issue.

This PC has had so many issues im getting ready to sell it for parts and build a new one.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what this might be to help me here cause I dont have any money for that haha.

All the best,

James

A while back when I was having problems with World of Warcraft, the problems would be extremely intermittant.  Just no telling when they would happen.  Thanks to someone here on LTT, I was able to fix the issue by NOT using DirectX 12 but going back to Direct X 11.  Just a shot, maybe that will make a difference in your situation.

Good Luck and Take Care.

Typically the black screen issues described can be anything from a failing GPU/GPU drivers to a bad display cable. I'd first try a different display cable and see if the issue persists, if it does I'd next use DDU to remove the graphics drivers then reinstall them using the Nvidia App(removing old drivers and reinstalling them via the manufacturer recommended app is usually better than just simply updating them). If it continues to happen I can recommend more troubleshooting steps.

Main Desktop: CPU - i9-14900k | Mobo - Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | GPU - PNY Gaming OC RTX 5080 16GB RAM - Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 64GB 6400mhz | AIO - Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360mm | PSU - Corsair RM1000X | Case - Hyte Y40 - White | Storage - Samsung 980 Pro 1TB Nvme /  Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus 4TB Nvme / Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB Nvme / Samsung 870 EVO 4TB SSD / Samsung 870 QVO 2TB SSD/ Samsung 860 EVO 500GB SSD|

In my opinion, the ssd placed under a gpu is a good thing not a bad thing.

The "hot air" being moved by the gpu is still cold for a heated ssd. Moving air is better than static air.

Also you could have just checked ssd temperature, below 70° is no problem.

Rather ssd health is interesting, how's the health ?

Blackscreen sounds like power issue with gpu. Either psu or cable contact.

I'd reseat the gpu and reconnect carefully the cables both on gpu and psu side.

If you don't quote us, we won't know you answered
