Sorry, I'm a complete noob when it comes to audio, so bear with me please. I have a 2.1 speaker system and over the past few days or so, I've noticed the bass response from the subwoofer isn't what it used to be, by quite a lot. I have no idea how to troubleshoot this, or if it's even a hardware problem. Any advice would be great!

...yes I have

There's probably a knob somewhere on the subwoofer to increase or decrease it's intensity. You probably bumped it by accident.

There is a knob on the back for bass level, but right now it sounds like there's only two levels. On and off. There's absolutely no difference that I can tell between the max intensity and almost off.

I think I should mention that if I use a software equalizer and turn the lower frequencies way up, the bass is slightly more like normal.

check the subwoofer connection to your computer?

it could also be a bug so try to restart your computer.

It's Cyber Acoustics so yeah, it's pretty budget oriented, but it worked fine before and there's no sign of anything blowing out

I'm just offering some thoughts if you end up being unable to narrow down the problem. These kind of units usually die quietly. :/
