Both my Corsair Void headset and my Sennheiser HD 4.40's have seen better days. So Im looking for a replacement for both, preferably a one headphone solution. The plan is to find a Bluetooth headset with a 3.5mm jack option. If I find a headset where the integrated mic works with wired cool. If not I can just buy a mod mic. Wired is going to be used when gaming, while bluetooth is used for when Im using my Mac. Bluetooth on Windows sucks ass at least from my personal experience.

Budget: Id like to be under $200 USD with mod mic purchase.  Looks like the ModMic Uni 2 is going for $59.95 on Amazon currently.

Needs

  • Bluetooth
  • Wired connection via 3.5 mm jack
  • USB C charging

Nice to haves

  • ANC
  • Mic that works in wired mode :

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

BT is slow, you mean 2.4GHz wireless? With maybe BT option.

Maybe something like Beyerdynamic MMX 200 as an option. You can also check Hardwarecanucks for some headset comparisons.

I mean Bluetooth with the option for the headset to be used wired like my current Sennheiser HD 4.40's. The only time I will use them gaming is in wired mode I game maybe once a week with my friend. I need bluetooth because I intend to use them with my Mac, iPhone and possibly a iPad if I ever get around to buying one.

I really like my AKG K361bt, it has a wired option and a BT option.  Only problem being that it doesn't have a mic.  But that could be solved with an antlion modmic as you stated.

The main drawback is that the stock pads are terrible, thin and not comfortable.  That's easily remedied with a nice set of oval pads, mine are from Wicked Cushions and they've held up very well.  There are many options but the leather type offer better bass response and better sound overall when compared to stock.  There are also gel cooling pads for the summer available.  (pads are the cheapest way to tune the sound, could even toy around with different materials to get the signature you want)

Another drawback to the K361bt is the plastic construction, while very rugged they can be creaky but shouldn't be an issue once on.  Mine have been living in a work vehicle for a few years and have suffered no damage.

Audio go Brrrrrr

These ones can be used wired, BT and 2.4GHz wireless. Their msrp is $200. Don't think they have ANC as they're more PC focused, over outside wear ones.

Hears the deal. Im using them WIRED when I game. Thats why Im looking for ones that can do wired and bluetooth. I game once a week, so I dont really care about things being PC focused, because 99% of the time Im using my Mac. It's like you think bluetooth is worthless and it's NOT, works great on my Mac, rarely have issues. The only issues are with my PC which I barely use at this point (Because I dont like Windows).

I found these: https://www.sennheiser-hearing.com/en-US/p/hd-450bt/ckykejk3k0av30b47bi9hc68f/ everything I want, and under $100.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Oh ok didn't know you're that much on the go most of the time. Didn't say BT is worthless, just that it's slow, especially gaming. I can notice latency delay just watching video for example. Also many headphones today have 2.4GHz dongle so to me a no brainer to use that because why not. Otherwise BT still an option too for longer battery.

Those seem good, I'd still check some review though.

For media Bluetooth is fine. 99% of the time I’m not gaming, only really game any more because my best friend is in to it. Plus I’ll use them wired for gaming. These headphones will be used between a PC, Mac, Steam Deck and iPhone. Bluetooth is a universal standard as most devices support it.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Yeah BT if it's on all those device good. But also 2.4GHz wireless is standard, just a dongle to plug in any device. What is good many headsets support both. That said if for lower price you are fine without 2.4GHz mode and quality of headset yeah get those.
