I think they are both silly, plus they cost approximately 12 Million mega-dollars.

I really don't think that nVidia did the right thing by marketing a 3000 dollar card to gamers when they can buy other options which make more sense. To me the 295X2 was also a bit of a failure in that it didn't really recieve as much attention as AMD would have wanted. Personally, I would rather that they focused on higher performance single GPU cards

amd R9 295X isn't aimed like the titan z. Never mind that both are focus on 4K+ resolutions they're intended purposes are different.

Titan Z might be in the Geforce range however if you listen back to the conference where Jen-Hsun revealed it he didn't say much about gaming.

They're both stupid cards as well as being absurdly expensive. I also think they set a dangerous precedent in regard to pricing of future dual gpu cards.

they both have a purpose hows that stupid?

Since the discussion includes titan z, lemme ask something.

The titan z has its own drivers?! I think i saw 337.93 instead of 337.88

Mad money for one piece of a build. Also, it tells you to take what the community says with a pinch of salt, less than a week ago on here I read someone saying that the Titan Z was just a "concept card" and "will NEVER be released" yet here we are.

I'll wait for a 790 which is also "never coming" :P .

If the Titan Z were a 2 slot card, and not horribly over priced I'd consider buying one for an mITX build.

for now, the R9-295x2 is the most likely to be sold like cakes because with the price tag on the Titan Z and the Techies/Gamers/enthusiast market is suppose to be the one this stuff is meant for, i wouldn't imagine any one with a bit of sense into him to be fouled by this prank they're polling, i mean, i my self am an nVidia fan, i give you that, but there are much better ways and other option to spend three grand, SLI 780Ti k|ngp|n, R9-295x2, SLI Titan Black, and you could even spend the difference on fitting em with a custom loop and get awesome performance, awesome bang for the buck and put a sticker on your case says "My Z Rig" if you're after the fancy name, so yeah, even though the TitanZ might outperform AMD's new Guy, it wouldn't hit as much success i'm telling ya .

Nice cards with some nice engineering, just high price tag.   Two titan blacks = 2K    Two 290X's =  1K or less

Aaand here's an example of people talking blindly. The 295X2 isn't overpriced.

The cheapest R9 290X on Newegg that I could find is $550

The cheapest R9 295X2 is $1500

The cards alone are worth $1100. The AIO is maybe $100, so that brings it up to $1200.

The power savings from having a 295X2 opposed to 2x R9 290X's in Xfire will save ~30ish per year, so now it's $1230.

I'd say your convenience is worth $270.

Well, $1500 is still alot of money, that is more money than 50% of the builds here.

I think the 295x2 is for the enthusiasts, not for the general public anyway. I would pay $1,500 for it, I think is priced just right.

Wasn't the Titan Z delayed because a Chinese enthusiast site reviewed it and found it was losing to the R9 295X2 in most scenarios? For a card that costs twice its nearest competitor, that's pretty bad.
