I have had a nighthawk AX12 for a while and it’s been doing fine.

however all of a sudden in the last day, the wifi was cutting out.

all of the connected wifi devices seem to be having issues reaching the internet, even tho the router says it’s connected to the internet. Which I can confirm is true as the wired devices were working fine.

it seemed to be broadcasting the wireless networks 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz but not actually connecting them to the internet.

I have since done factory reset the router.

and the issue seems to still persist intermittently.

also to note the 5ghz network doesn’t work even tho it says it’s active, again doesn’t seem to be actually connecting to the internet even tho the router is getting internet, but the 2.4 ghz is working on and off.

could someone please help me here I’m completely stumped? ??

Have you tried updating the firmware?

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

  1. What device is upstream of the AX12? Make and model, please.
  2. If you directly plug into the ethernet ports of the AX12, is your connection consistently stable?
  3. What WiFi settings do you have on the AX12?
  4. Run a wireless survey using Net Analyzer or a similar WiFi scanner. Post images of the spectrum analysis for both 2.4 and 5GHz.
